Hello and Welcome! My name is Xieanne Le and I am the face behind By Your Side Birth work, based in central Cambridge. I am honored that you took the time to explore my page!

I am a mentored Nurturing Birth Doula, qualified for both birth and postnatal work.

I’ve been doing the work of a doula for as long as I can remember. I was just 16 when I supported my friend throughout her first pregnancy; I remember the awe I felt at the power of a woman’s body, and how wonderful and miraculous it felt to attend the birth of her child. It was a sensation that never left me. And over the years, I have supported numerous friends and colleagues through their birth journeys, and beyond.

In 2020, I moved to the UK from the US, along with my husband, daughter and two cats. It was then that I decided to formalize my doula work. In a time of personal turbulence and change, training with Nurturing Birth centered me, and confirmed to me that I’d found my calling.

So here I am: ready, able and beyond excited to serve the families that know the value of a doula. Or maybe you don’t yet know what a doula can do for you, but you’re curious and you want to have a chat. I’m here for that, too!
