Hi, I’m Kelly, I live in a small rural village (hence- The Village Doula) with my husband, our two wonderful teenagers and our demanding black and white cat!

Our location allows me to conveniently support families in Essex, Suffolk and Cambridge.

 

To support you and your partner at this exciting and special time is my absolute privilege.
I provide both emotional and practical support alongside up to date evidence based information to enable you to make informed choices about your maternity care that suit you and your family.

Everyone’s pregnancy, birth preferences and family situations are unique and I always tailor my support to meet your individual needs and circumstances to help you achieve a positive birth experience – however your birth unfolds.

I have experience supporting single parents, IVF journeys, home births, water births, hospital births, in midwife led units, twins, induction and caesarean.

Following  the birth of your baby I can provide practical and emotional support to ease your transition into parenthood. I can assist with breast/bottle feeding, offer guidance and encouragement on newborn care, run errands, look after baby whilst you rest/ sleep or shower or simply make you a cup of tea and provide a listening ear, I am also able to offer overnight support.

My aim is to make sure new and expectant parents feel knowledgeable, calm, confident  and really looked after as they embark on all the ups and downs that being a new parent brings.

 

Outside of doulaing I enjoy travelling, yoga and being outdoors and love cooking and spending time with family and friends.
